The scoring guide is laid out so clearly that even our newer staff picked it up right away, and the forms make it easy to track progress with our littlest ones from birth onward. We've already seen a real shift in how we approach social-emotional support in the classroom.
Finally got my hands on this after months of eyeing it, and the three-month age bands make planning so much easier for my mixed-age infant room. The forms are laid out clearly enough that I can hand them to a new staff member without a full training session first.
The forms cover everything from birth to age 3, which makes it easy to track progress across a whole classroom. It’s a bit pricey for the manual, but the structured observation scale is genuinely useful for building social-emotional goals.
