My son used to tip back in his chair constantly during homework, but this stool lets him get that movement out through his feet instead. The base feels sturdy enough that I don't worry about him tipping it over, and he actually stays at his desk longer now.
My 6-year-old used to tip back in his regular chair constantly, but the twist motion on this stool gives him an outlet so he actually stays seated through homework. The wide base feels stable enough that I don't worry about him tipping over.
The twist motion keeps my daughter quietly moving during homework instead of sliding off her chair. Only wish the base had a bit more grip on our tile floor, but on carpet it's rock solid.
