The 11 gallon size is what sold me, and it really does swallow a full week of kitchen trash without needing the bag changed constantly. The step mechanism opens smooth and quiet, no squeaking or sticking even after a couple months of daily use.
The step pedal is sturdy enough that my kids can stomp on it and the lid still closes gently instead of slamming. At 11 gallons it swallows a whole week of kitchen trash without me wrestling the bag out.
Bought this for our classroom and the 11 gallon size means I'm not emptying it every single day anymore. The step-to-open lid is a lifesaver when my hands are full of supplies.
