The experiments use stuff we already have in the kitchen, which makes it easy to actually do them instead of just reading. My kid is 5 and the activities are right at her level — simple enough to follow but she still feels like a real investigator.

My 4-year-old now asks to "do science" every afternoon, and this book makes it easy since most supplies are already in the kitchen. The activities are grouped by age focus of 3-6, so I can hand it to my older kid and still find simpler ones for the younger.

The experiments are simple enough to set up with stuff we already had in the kitchen, which is exactly what I needed for a 3-year-old with a short attention span. I love that it's built around letting kids question and analyze instead of just following steps.
