The little planes and trains are the perfect size for my 3-year-old's hands, and he'll sit for ages lining them up by color. Counting them out loud to ten has become his favorite game since we got the container.

My kids sort the six vehicle types into the container for ages, and it doubles as cleanup. The counting practice is a nice bonus since they think they're just playing.

My 4-year-old has been sorting these into the container by color for almost an hour, and the six different vehicle shapes keep him naming them while he counts. The container lid snaps on tight, so cleanup is actually quick.
