My 4-year-old used to melt down every time I said "five more minutes," but now he watches the red disk shrink and actually gets it. The large face is easy to read from across the room, and the portable size means we take it to grandma's too.
The 60-minute dial is perfect for our after-school routine — my son actually watches the red slice disappear and moves on to homework without a fight. Battery-powered means we can carry it room to room, which has been a lifesaver.
Bought this for my classroom and the 60-minute dial is big enough that kids across the room can see the red slice shrinking. The only gripe is the tick sound in a quiet room, though honestly it fades into background noise after a minute. Transitions have gotten noticeably calmer since we started usi
