I used this manual during my last round of infant-toddler observations and the environment guidance lined up cleanly with the tool. The inclusion notes helped me justify a few scoring calls I would have second-guessed otherwise.
The inclusion guidance section alone was worth it — I finally feel confident about how to use the environment reference during infant and toddler observations instead of guessing. Clear enough that I stopped second-guessing myself halfway through a session.
I keep this manual open during every infant observation now, and the guidance on using the environment alongside the tool has cleared up a lot of my scoring questions. The inclusion section especially helped me think through how to set up a room that works for toddlers at very different stages.
