My toddler's attention span is short, but the fingerplay sections have been a lifesaver for car rides—she actually sits still when we follow along with the poems. The listening and coordination exercises are clearly well thought out, and the paperback is thick enough to survive her grabbing at it.
The two CDs alone are worth it—50 songs means we never run out of new material for car rides. The fingerplay sections have been a lifesaver for getting my daughter to sit still during story time, and the rhyme patterns really help with her early speech.
My toddler and I have been working through the songs on the second CD almost every afternoon, and I'm amazed at how much the rhythm activities hold his attention. The paperback is thick enough to lay flat on the floor while we act out the movements together.
