The 32-inch gate opening is wide enough that my dad's wheelchair rolls through without him having to angle it at all. The aluminum threshold sits low enough that there's no bump to get over, which was my main worry. It gives the play area a real entrance instead of just a gap in the panels.

I measured our gate opening at exactly 32 inches and my dad's wheelchair rolls through with room to spare, no scraping the aluminum threshold. The taller 84-inch arch gives the entryway real presence instead of feeling like a plain doorway.

The archway really does make the whole space feel finished instead of just sectioned off. I went with the 84" height and the aluminum threshold sits flat enough that my mom's wheelchair rolls through without a bump.
