To ensure accurate measurements for production:

Take a piece of string or a shoelace
Wrap it around the pole and mark where it meets
Place the string on a flat measuring stick or tape measure.

This will be the full, most accurate circumference measurement. From this, the vendor can assure an accurate pole pad size.
