contains the research and theory behind the CLASS tool, and provides additional insight and guidance in using CLASS within a CQI process and system.
The section on using the tool within a CQI process finally made the scoring feel actionable instead of theoretical. I've been in early childhood education for years and the research and theory chapters gave me language I didn't have before for explaining why certain practices matter.
I picked this up to help lead our program's improvement cycle, and the CQI guidance is genuinely useful, not just filler. The section on using CLASS within a continuous improvement process gave our team a clear way to turn observation data into actual next steps.
The research and theory section finally made the CLASS dimensions click for me after I'd been scoring by gut for a year. I also appreciate the guidance on CQI processes, since we're building ours from scratch this fall.
