The plush objects are the winner here — soft enough that my 14-month-old squeezes them before dropping them in the right container. I didn't expect the color matching to click so fast, but after a week he's sorting most of them on his own.

My two-year-old actually sits still for this, plopping the plush pieces into the matching containers one by one. I like that it's got 12 containers, so there are plenty of colors to keep her busy while she works on hand-eye coordination.

The sorting containers are the perfect size for little hands, and the plush objects are soft enough that I don't worry about my 18-month-old mouthing them. She's already figuring out which colors go where after a week.
