I grabbed this for my 4-year-old and the little take-home books finally got her asking to read instead of watching cartoons. The parent guide breaks things into short activities that actually fit into a busy evening.
The family strategy cards are what sold me—they give me actual words to use instead of just handing my kid a worksheet. We've been doing one short activity after dinner and my daughter's letter sounds are already picking up.
My 4-year-old actually asks to do the little reading games after dinner now, which I didn't expect. The kit gives you clear strategies for parents instead of just handing over worksheets, though I wish the activity cards were a bit sturdier since ours are already dog-eared.
