I used this to train two new staff members and the real home footage made the scale's items click for them way faster than the book alone. Having each item walked through on video, with the rating decisions explained, cleared up the gray areas I'd been guessing at for months.
The side-by-side footage of actual home visits made the scoring criteria click for me way faster than reading the scale on its own. I watched it once straight through, then went back with the booklet to check my ratings against the examples.
The DVD walks through each subscale with real home-based footage, which made the scoring examples click for me way faster than just reading the scale. Only gripe is the menu navigation feels a bit clunky when jumping between sections.
